This year we will have a Tango Orquestra considered by many as the best Tango Orquestra of our days and 10 of the most important world class teachers.

FTL2008 offers, besides the Teather Show, the rare opportunity of having such an Orquestra playing in the Milongas so tangueros can dance with the live and magnific sound of Orchestra Tipica SILENCIO.

As for the learning aspects of the Festival, all the world class teachers present will assist the interested people on improving or learning as absolute begginers Tango dancing.

FTL2008 is having a complete set of WORKSHOPS and Special Theme Classes for all levels, taught by the best teachers, learned by the best studants.

FTL2008 is a connection and frendly meeting point for tangueros from all Europe and beyond. Hundreds of tango dancers will fill FTL2008 Milongas with the feelings and glamour only the big Milongas can offer.

Dancing is just of form among others of interpreting Tango.
Painting art and Photographs are one other form of capturing the beauty of Tango moments.
FTL2008 is proud to present to our Festival visitants one special exhibition of painting and Photographs about Tango.

FTL2008 its organized without a profit objective. As so Lusitango address a very important social issue taking the warm and friendly tango embrace to those children who can't aford a proper childhood by promoting the charity institution "Crianças sem Fronteiras".
